#WhatMahlerTellsMe pre-concert player panel
Tickets for Saturday’s Mahler 3 concert are selling very well, so we strongly-advise booking in advance. We will keep the website and social media updated during the week, and we will be able to confirm how many seats are still available on Friday evening. We’ll keep this updated on Saturday, so that if you’re planning on buying ‘on the door’, you don’t end up disappointed.
If you’ve already booked, or are planning to, you may not be aware that there will be a special pre-concert player panel event, at 6.30pm in the hall. The event will be led by APO trumpeter and Associate Professor of Music at Kingston University, Dr. Helen Julia Minors. Helen will be joined by APO Music Director, Andrew Taylor, and members of the orchestra, to explore the individual and collective challenges of performing such a monumental work.
The pre-concert event is free to attend and the house will be closed until it finishes at 7pm (meaning that attendees get first choice of the unreserved concert seating!).
